Garden Route Botanical Garden

(GRBG)

The Garden Route Botanical Garden is located in George, the heart of the Garden Route and has become a conservation and environmental education hub for the Southern Cape of South Africa.

We have a Herbarium where we involve the public in educating them in the importance of the local flora.  Regular botanically orientated courses, led by well known experts in their fields, are offered by the Herbarium. These courses are much enjoyed by the many participants we get each year,  and are a valuable source of income, as well as a vitally important way of implementing our objectives,  for the Herbarium.

We have recently started a wonderful little Fairy Tea Garden, where one can enjoy lovely treats while being surrounded by the beautiful scenery.  This Tea Garden is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 4pm.

We do appreciate it if you visit our office during the week during business hours, 8am till 5pm, so we can welcome you and get you to sign our visitor's book.  Hope to see you there!
