  • Have you created an account? If you have not registered, yet, you can do so by clicking on the "Create an account" link under the Login form.
  • If you have never received a confirmation email to complete the registration process this may have been because of a typo in your email address or the email may have ended up in your spam filter. It may also just have disappeared into cyberspace. You can try to register again using a new username or contact us directly.
  • If you are typing the username and password you may have mistyped it. They are case sensitive, which means it makes a difference, whether you are using capital or small letters (check Caps Lock). It may also be an issue where an O was a 0 or an I was a 1, or vice versa. On registration you received an email with your username. It is often a good idea to copy and paste your username directly into the appropriate box in the Login form.

How do I check whether my browser has cookies enabled?

Cookies are typically enabled in normal browsers. You can check whether cookies have been disabled in your browser with one of the following methods.

  • Internet Explorer: Click on Tools, then on Internet Options. Click on the Privacy tab. If it is set to "Block all cookies", your cookies are disabled. Our website only needs cookies if you want to login. You can either reduce this level slightly by moving the slider downwards or, if you do not want to do this, you can click on the "Sites" button, insert "goinggreen.co.za" and click on "Allow".
  • Firefox and Mozilla (e.g. Flock): In the Menu click on Tools, then on Options. Click on the Privacy tab. If "Accept cookies from sites" is not ticked, your cookies are disabled. Our website only needs cookies if you want to login. You can either click on this checkbox to enable cookies in general or, if you do not want to do this, you can click on the "Exceptions" button, insert "goinggreen.co.za" and click on "Enable" or "Allow", depending on your specific browser.
  • Google Chrome: Click on the picture of a tool in the top right corner of Google Chrome and select Options. Select the "Under the hood" tab and find the Cookie settings box. If "Block all cookies" is selected, your cookies are disabled. Our website only needs cookies if you want to log in. Select one of the other options.
  • Opera: In the Menu click on Tools, then Quick Preferences. If the option "Enable cookies" is not selected, your cookies are disabled. Our website only needs cookies if you want to login. You can either change the "Enable cookies" option in general or, if you do not want to do this, you can "Edit site preferences..." in the Quick Preference menu and select the Cookies tab. Click on "Accept cookies only from the site I visit" and click OK.

How do I enable JavaScript?

You have received a warning that JavaScript is not enabled. Our website needs JavaScript only if you want to submit something to us. JavaScript is usually enabled in normal browsers, since many websites need it and it does not have any significant security problems (it is not to be confused with "java" which is a full programming language and has more security implications). You can enable JavaScript by using one of the following procedures.

  • Internet Explorer: Click on Tools, then on Internet Options. Click on the Security tab and find the Scripting section. If Active Scripting is set to "Disable", select one of the other options.
  • Firefox and Mozilla (e.g. Flock): In the Menu click on Tools, then on Options. Click on the Content tab. Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is ticked.
  • Opera: In the Menu click on Tools, then Quick Preferences. Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is selected. If you do not want to enable JavaScript in general, you can "Edit site preferences..." in the Quick Preference menu and select the Scripting tab. Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is selected and click OK.
